Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

I think prison reform is a seperate topic from slavery, but you do give up your rights in prison, which would include the 13th amendment. Many countries have much more terrible prison conditions.
Either way in the 1800s slaves didn't have as much of a choice to be a slave, today prisoners mostly had a choice before committing a crime (though I acknowledge not every person in jail deserves or should be there). I just think that should be awknowledge before saying America still has "slaves". At the end of the day the law is what allows us to have the society we have today (for better or worse).
Lmfao. You're disgusting. No, not very many countries have worse prisons than America, At least not other comparable western nations.
How is that disgusting? Admitting that you lose rights in prison? You're literally just trolling for a reaction. I can think of a handful of EU countries with much smaller populations that have it better. Comparing black slaves from the 1800s to modern day prisoners is what's disgusting
It's disgusting because you're defending slavery. Not surprised you need insults explained to you, lol.
In most countries on the planet, you don't lose the right not to be used for slave labor if you get convicted for a crime, that would be cruel and unusual punishment. Do you think that opinion, held by the majority of the world, is a troll? Do you have a brain injury or something?
Who in the fuck did this? You know chattel slavery in the US is a special kind of evil that pretty much only you guys ever did in the history of slavery? The Nazis took fucking lessons, you moron.
That doesn't change the fact that slavery is part of your countries founding document, and provides exception for people who've been convicted of a crime. No its not chattel slavery, yes it is slavery. IT EVEN USES THE FUCKING WORD SLAVERY.
I can't believe we're having this conversation, to be honest with you, lmao.
Edit: You know most Western countries won't extradite prisoners to the US because your prison system is so fucking cruel and backwards?
Of course you don't, you're 12.
Bruh I'm a grown ass adult. we have differing views on one dumbass topic let it go. I see why you got banned from reddit. take a chill pill.
I didn't get banned from reddit? Now you're just saying it was a prank because you have a bad take, lol?
If you're a grown ass adult you need to be able to admit when you are wrong without just backing away saying agree to disagree.
Slavery was outlawed and we had a civil war over it. Tons of other countries had slavery way after America, especially anywhere the Dutch tocuhed. Slavery was not an option for millions of people even if they didn't commit a crime, for you to call prison modern day slavery is idiotic and a dumbass take. You don't even have a nation to stand behind which proves even more how much of a dumbass take you have.
No. It wasnt. Google the thirteenth amendment and tell me what it says. Imagine being so proudly ignorant of your own country's Constitution. Christ, Americans are brain broken.
I'm not calling prison slavery, I'm calling you using prisoners for slave labor slavery, which it is.
