I'm in Los Angeles. Good access to both. I'm an illegalist, so I don't really keep up on the laws, but sometimes I just find attractive women melting down in my basement who need a hug and text me back when they're stable, and everyone else I know is anarchists criminals or art gays, so my drugs access involves getting whatever I want and turning down lots of free stimulants, because fuck stimulants.
The fasch might murder anyone at any time. Sometimes they just take somebody, but its almost never anyone who's both white and without coherent politics, so while the 'might get disappeared' and the 'will almost certainly die of dv or overdose' circles cover basically everyone I know; they don't really overlap. I need to be in like a double acute fent epidemic/fed crackdown to lose too-too many people all at once, and that hasn't happened in like six years?
Its not covered, and its slowed down; the rapid response networks aren't what I'd like them to be, but they're not completely useless.
But there are theatrical sweeps every so often, and law of large numbers. Plus all police are ice. Its in the name, and when LAPD/SD kidnaps someone for walking while brown or DUI for sleeping it off in the back seat of their car with the keys in the trunk or whatever, and then hands them over to ice because chatgpt says they look like someone who was at a protest obce or their name was super extra 'foreign' or whatever.
It's not ideal. I'm starting to think this 'fascism' stuff might have issues.

No but with enough punishment, and punishment alone, the world will be what you want! Sorry, thing I'm dealing with on a lot of parts of my life; Shitty necropolitics combined with a total obliviousness that there could ever be any tools of social organization or fixing social problems other than laws. Like reducing bicyclist deaths couldn't be done by making cars safer, protecting bike lanes with a tiny strip of 6" raised concrete instead of a paint strip, or proliferating public transit to get cars off the street; only punishment.
