A place for for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.

A zero-tolerance policy for bigotry of any kind. Failure to respect this will result in a ban.

4 No imperialism, conservatism, reactionism or Zionism, lessor evil rhetoric. Dismissing 3rd party votes or 'wasted votes on 3rd party' is lessor evil rhetoric.

5 No bigotry, no racism, sexism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any type of prejudice.

6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc. This includes instance shaming.

To be fair to the lemmy leftists in this hypothetical, often when a few dems break rank, that means leadership picked the fewest, safest ones to take the heat. AIPAC and centrist Dems are problematic. (Although lemmy leftists will shit on all Democrats because they want Republican whackjobs to run this country into the ground.)

Leftists want our party to stop supporting genocide.
And if we cant have that, then yes we have no choice but to burn it all down.

Why is "no genocide" such an awkward ask in your eyes? why is it so much to ask from dems?

Exactly. They don't want it to pass, but they don't want to taint all their members, so they just choose a few that won't feel the heat as much. The result is that it passes, so they get what they want without exposing their members to voter anger, and they can claim they were against it, but those damn Republicans keep winning somehow, even when they're not in power.
