Either there is an extra zero or a missing decimal point?

Both of the % signs in the reply should be removed as well.

Omg you’re right!

"% per 100k" caused physical pain in my head.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 3 points 5 hours ago

Ah yes, the classic ‰~^00^~

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 18 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (1 children)

don't you know 07% out of 100k is lower than 05.7k out of 100%

[–] Starik@lemmy.world 8 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

If it’s 5.7% per 100k, what percent is it per 200k?

I'm also annoyed that they did the homicide rate as per-capita, but the homelessness numbers are given without comparison to total population

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 17 points 10 hours ago

Then going on to cite a specific food security stat on one hand, and leave it vague on the other.

I totally believe the numbers favor them, but that's all the more reason to get them right ..

[–] gh0stb4tz@lemmy.world 10 points 13 hours ago

Totally missing a decimal point. The numbers are actually a little off, per my search, but the gist of it is correct.
