I am, once again, reminded of why I hate living in a walkable area of a car-centric country. We even have a pedestrian stoplight near where I live, and after I hit the button and it goes red I still have to wait and make sure the cars actually stop, because all too many times someone's zoomed through and nearly hit me or one of my dogs.

Drivers are entitled assholes.

they are indeed.

I'd rather see a beg button for cars and not pedestrians, where the driver gets to the red light, gets out, and has to push the button and the default is for pedestrians .
