For the Punctuated! prompt... does '&' count as a punctuation mark? From what I can work out, perhaps not?
I may have forgotten to check this thread for months... oops. Wasn't expecting a square clarification question in here.
I agree with Jaymes on both points. However, I believe I ended up deciding any typographical symbol counted when I was picking out books for Storygraph recommendations. (I probably should have changed the square description for clarity, mb.) Technically, they're not all punctuation, but Wikipedia seems to take the broader stance (which is where I figure most people would look up what counts), so why not?
Thanks for getting back to me - in the end I used that square for 'Slaughterhouse 5: The Children's Crusade A Duty-Dance With Death'. I think the punctuation there is unambiguous!
Sounds good to me!
Sorry for the delay in responding, I’ve had a busy time with work recently.
there are no bingo police, if you think you can make a well reasoned argument why an interpretation is correct, go for it.
I would say the ampersand is a ligature not punctuation, but see 1.
Thanks! Yeah I reckon you're right - and I wouldn't mind the challenge of finding something that fits :)
