Knowledge of this makes me uncomfortable.

If you screw it too hard, it will definitely crack it as the hole is tapered.
If you don't screw it enough, the drive will move around.

At first I felt good about it. I took it out of packaging, cool, aluminum. At least some of it. When I opened it up, painted plastic. Why the fuck is that part plastic?

Also, the fan is missing.

Yeah, they can get fairly hot.
