Because culture is political. Allowing a country who are actively committing genocide to partake in a happy celebration belittles the thousands of civilians they've slaughtered
Israel being on EUROvision is political, must be, it's definitely not geographical.
Anyone performing at the eurovision despite Israel being part of it is a piece of shit. Obviously that includes the israeli performers themselves.
Israel made great efforts to expand their soft power into Eurovision these last years. Political actors, especially authoritarians, understand that culture is political power and wield it like any other weapon of influence.
Why should Americans boycott Nazi products? if you want to protest harrass a Nazi officer not their products.
