Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Well, yeah.

Even the most oft quoted "anti gay" passage of the Bible is not actually anti gay - the original version in ancient Greek is actually against pederasty (the Greek 'tradition' of institutionalised gay pedophilia - using 12-16 year old young boys by older men for sexual pleasure under the guise of "tutoring" them), and the word usage is very specific about a MAN (adult male) laying with a BOY (young male) being the atrocity.

But, Greek pederasty died out, the reference was then mistranslated due to lack of social context, and bam, you got modern day Christians riling up against gay people. Ain't it wonderful?

Yeah shits pretty wild. Also crazy to think you could be in the right for murdering a bunch of gay people over your questionable morals against homosexuality as justification.

I got downvoted quite a bit because I don't think people are picking up that this is an obvious hate crime, and that 99% of the time they're committed by religious extremists when it comes to sexual preference.

I'm not saying the Bible is correct. I'm saying that this very flawed logic is the likely catalyst for this attack.
