Wait, can Ark be played alone on a dedicated server offline? What do you mean by home server?

Yes, I used to play with my SO and siblings alone with mods from the steam workshop. It was great Playing each map with ppl not off the rails.

It was ark server manager. It was really easy to work with and no issues running the server off your home pc while playing the game.

Was, but is not anymore? Sorry, I tend to steer clear of online PvE games, but if there is a way to play it offline, I'm really interested!

I haven't played in a few years. I have no idea the state it is now. I can only confirm the experience i had when I was active. I do recall minor hiccups getting started but you basically run the server when you want, save when you want, load w/e mods you want and anyone who joins gets the mods downloaded for them. Really wish more games had this option.
