You're missing the point entirely there. WaPo is as mainstream American publication as it gets. The US mainstream media is now openly advocating for war crimes.

Does this seem out of character with the actions currently being taken by the US though? Kidnapping world leaders, bombing schools, blockading the strait of Hormuz and threatening to attack anyone who uses it?

Killing negotiators doesn’t feel like a joke or “too far” for these ghouls.
