There is no ceasefire. The US just extricated itself until Israel pulls it back into the war. To the US, there’s no point in doubling down as they know they can’t send ground forces or attack infrastructure without the whole world economy getting destroyed.

Now they’re waiting for the Iranians to bombard the Israelis into submission. Israel hopes to hold out long enough, to take a beating so devastating that it will pull the US back into the conflict.

And if the US stops sending weapons and aid, then Israel will have nothing to fight with and will either use their nukes or wait for another friendly president/try to regime-change the US to resupply their military.

Alternatively, the UAE can kick out the US forces they’re hosting to prevent further attacks on themselves and their infrastructure, further weakening the US military’s presence in the region.
