Freeing our household from arbitrary and irrelevant holidays has been amazing. I get a 4 day weekend without any extra obligations.

I declared today 'no demands' day where I just follow my whims with no timelines, no one depending on me and my schedule, no leaving the house, no commitments, it rules.

I spent this today catching up on book club and half planning a tableware set I want to make. Might even go throw some test plates... We'll see if I still want to by the time I get downstairs lol
