How is a young pupil being middle aged a reminder of an authors views on transgender people?
I'm guessing is a little bit of shaming people for liking what they liked as a kid?
More refusing to let go of childhood fantasies in the face of the reality of the horrible-ness of the originator of that fantasy.
It’s a political statement about fantasy and maturity.
There’s a certain point in your life where it’s more important to take a stand on things that actually matter than to hold on to a nostalgic franchise.
Harry Potter was deeply meaningful to many of us as children, I know. But that doesn’t matter at all if we refuse to protect our trans brothers and sisters from assholes like JK Rowling.
