The article seems to hint st the fact that patients regain weight because they start eating unhealthy again once they stop taking the drug. I don’t think that’s a surprise to anyone. Calories in - calories out = weight change. The simple, yet not easy, solution is to change your habits while using the drug.

The protocols likely need to be adjusted for longer titration down or maintenance.

Just because you’ve lost the weight doesn’t mean your body is ready to be without it. Depleted fat cells want to be nurished until they are recycled. I think for some the hormones never return to normal.
