He felt emboldened to do this without repercussions for a reason. He assumed the only repercussions would be from the cops, which he knew he was safe from. He was too dumb and privileged to think that he might get his ass beat.
For sure. If anything, he should be charged with inciting a riot.
They operate under the Fox umbrella, contribute money to Fox corporate, and give legitimacy to Fox News cable channel. The local Fox affiliates are a critical support for Fox News, and your differentiation of "they're not Fox News" is the exact reaction they want.
