Try to think locally and apply to places you like to shop at, or you like to do business with in some way. Apply directly on their own sites if possible. Take positions you normally wouldn't. Its easier to move into another position once you have your foot in the door and they know they can trust you.
I tried some of my local shops, but they either weren't hiring or just never got back to me. There are a few that I could try and maybe they will give me a response. Thank you for the advice.
