Leni defended Kiwifarms by spreading propaganda that Kiwifarms is a "free speech" site in the comments to this thread: https://archive.ph/2fPWH
The Kiwifarms thread I linked includes other posts by "MoeAnguish" (Leni) later in the thread, including one where Leni on her MoeAnguish Kiwifarms account was gloating about me not approving of her defending Kiwifarms.
MoeAnguish/Leni's comment about "Skirting the law" in the Kiwifarms thread is referring to me having to use TOR to access Kiwifarms for these screenshots and links, since I live in the UK and Kiwifarms is blocked here.

Also, like I said, impersonation is common there.
No normal person is going to defend Kiwifarms as a "free speech" site. Based on more reliable sources that talk about Kiwifarms, the sign up process involves a CAPTCHA of some sort which contains multiple slurs, and users have to agree with this before they can join. Leni defended Kiwifarms as a free speech site on her Lemmy account. Kiwifarms is a hate speech site and conflating the two is another thing that gave Leni away (as if Leni minimizing the harm Kiwifarms has done as "more petty harassment" in the OP of this thread wasn't also eyebrow-raising). Leni posted two links to Kiwifarms threads, both only go to posts by "MoeAnguish". No mention of MoeAnguish being an impersonator. MoeAnguish is the only Kiwifarms poster who linked the Lemmy thread I made and referenced things I said in the first person. There's no implication at all that she's being impersonated.
Kiwifarms users are known for their trolling, manipulation and lying, though. It's kind of part of their whole playbook.
I'm sure her angle is there is a difference between defending a website's history and defending the mere act of happening to be on it.
You also answered your own confusion about the free speech thing.
"It was made for an angle of free speech" is her direct quote, which is a blatant lie as Kiwifarms was made for hate speech. Conflating hate speech with free speech is, to put it lightly, eyebrow raising. The only people I've seen do that are other Kiwifarmers besides her, alt-right fanatics, and bigots.
That quote literally cannot be found anywhere.
The whole defense for hate speech is free speech, but I'm guessing she doesn't mean hate speech. You'll have to ask her if I am wrong if you think I might be.
Sources say she is on there specifically to monitor the site when they mention her friends, with some in-between dialogue which has her use the site vocabulary in a tone that isn't meant to be synonymous with her agreeing with their extremism.
May I also remind you that Lemmy not only advocates assassination but even sponsors it (not in the money sense)?
