Why is it a race to disavow this kid?
Regardless of his ideology, he would have benefitted from mental health treatment, which we aren't funding. We don't know enough, but if we had some reasonable laws restricting access to firearms, it may have prevented this.
Edit: Oh, and clearly his support system failed him.
