There had been shouts throughout the evening about Beckwith evading questions. At one point, Beckwith's response to a question on CenterPoint Energy included a nod to the Democratic Party's acceptance of transpeople.

"They think boys can be girls and girls can be boys," he said.

Audience members shouted him down.

"Stay on task," one yelled.

Ah, they think all males are boys and all females are girls. Just wait til they hear some folk are neither or both
