Vivaldi Browser

recently downloaded vivaldi and its been great but i have a problem. every time i try to download a pic from pinterest it opens a new tab with a url starting with blob: followed by the image link. i can download it from there but its annoying, i just want the image to download normally without opening any extra windows. i already tried everything like permissions, restarting, turning adblock on and off etc but nothing worked. its really annoying so if anyone knows how to fix it, PLEASEE let me know:( @Vivaldi @vivaldi_browser @tips @vivaldibrowserbot

I have already downloaded it as an extension, it is simply not allowing me to set it as default. It shows me the button, but does not work when toggled.

@vivaldi_browser I'm seeing really odd behavior with Vivaldi on iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. All the sub-windows (e.g., Settings) are just blank, although sometimes you'll get a glimpse of a text field.

The blank windows persist after force quitting the app and a device restart.

I've seen on separate websites my visits while surfing on Vivaldi counting as visits using Chrome, does this happen on all trackers?

For the record, one was on blogger.com and the other on LinkedIn (I accessed through Vivaldi and the app told me of a new access on Chrome).

So @waag can debug their https://waag.org/ in @vivaldi_browser : https://www.edwardvandevendel.nl/en is acting up in the same: I have to scroll before content appears. In other words: there's exactly one screen-height of whitespace. I hope having another example helps finding the cause of the problem.

Is there any plan to fix the iOS version of Vivaldi?
I really wanted to use Vivaldi on all my devices, but on my iPhone SE 2020 the browser becomes extremely laggy right after launch, and it even causes my phone to overheat until I have to restart it. From what I can tell, it’s most likely caused by the built-in tracker and ad blocker — it seems to constantly try applying the filters without success, which causes the system to choke. I eventually had to uninstall the browser.

After searching online, I found multiple Reddit posts describing the same issue, and it looks like the problem still hasn’t been resolved. It’s a shame, because I truly enjoy Vivaldi on other platforms and would really love to rely on it on iOS as well.

Also, apologies for the spam and for rewriting this post multiple times — I just wanted to make sure it gets noticed. 🙏

Hello,

Does anyone know what this setting or feature would be called?

When clicking on tabs the tab will sometimes move to the front or last of the row. Yet, it appears to be random. Not every tab is moved when clicked, sometimes it doesn't even happen.

My girlfriend is experiencing this on her MacBook.

We haven't yet found what this activity is called, if anything. Or if it's just something strange happening.

Any ideas or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Seems https://waag.org/en/ of @waag 's still has exactly 1 page of nothing on top in @vivaldi_browser (and many probably don't try scrolling, but just figure there's nothing there at all)
I hit F12 for devtools, but … maybe a daily webdev spots the problem ?
