A common theme in "Transformers" stories is the merging of organics and technology, flesh and metal working in concert to achieve things neither can do alone. This episode looks at the history and evolution of this concept, from Headmasters and Pretenders to Beast Wars and Beast Machines, and more - it's the biomechanical Basics on TECHNORGANICS!

Time for the story behind another Transformer name that's been used on some very different characters over the years - from G1 to Beast Wars to the live-action movie, from the Predacons to the Constructicons, we're going wild with The Basics on RAMPAGE!

The following is my personal opinion.

The following is my personal opinion.

This is a shorter one focusing only on the Five Faces of Darkness episodes. Because they are somewhat separate from the rest of the season. Almost like a second movie split into 5 episodes.
Finally, we learn the origin of the Transformers in these episodes.

Rev up your engines for a race across the stars to a world colonised long ago by explorers from Cybertron, which has evolved its own unique culture where speed is king, and the fastest 'bots make the rules! These are The Basics on the "Speed Planet" - VELOCITRON!

The hunt is on for Energon and CYBERWORLD will never be the same.

After his adventures with Optimus Prime and Elita-1, Bumblebee discovers a new form of Energon that supercharges his powers and increases his size. But too much of this Energon can cause chaos and maybe even unlock Bumblebee’s inner rage. Along with this surge in power, new regions, upgrades, and missions are unlocked. New allies drop in, but new threats also emerge. Across every part of the map, battles will be fought for control and alliances will be made.

Because whoever controls the power of Energon, controls all of CYBERWORLD…

The following is my personal opinion.

Before season 3 there is the Intermediate Season which includes the Japanese manga that has been released in English my Viz media. The Japanese OVA scramble city, with an unofficial continuation as a fan made video and an official continuation as a Japanese Manga posted online, I have added a link to a fan translation. Finally, of course Transformers the movie.

Judge him by his size, do you? This week, we're heading back to the Age of the Primes once again, for a look at another of the legendary original Thirteen Transformers - master of the Microverse, maker of the Micronauts, the father of all Mini-Cons, MICRONUS PRIME!

This is the third and final part of the season 2 guide. The last 10 episodes focus mostly on the introduction of the combiner teams into the Autobots and Decepticons roster. But it also features the episode "War Dawn" that contains important backstory about Optimus Prime and the Great War.

Transformers: Cyberworld is back with Wheeljack!

In the 21st episode, "Beyond Repair", Wheeljack is racing through Cyber City and comes face-to-smug-face with Starscream. However, a portal opens, leading to an exercise where fixing machines is the name of the game. Wheeljack's got this one on lock... right?

Getting Back to Basics for 2026, we kick off this year with a look at the 'bot behind one of the most famous "Transformers" urban legends! It's the motormouthed Autobot known as BLUESTREAK - so why isn't he BLUE?

Team Optimus just jumped into the MOST INTENSE ocean platformer challenge yet! To uncover the truth about Wheeljack, Elita-1, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee take on a relentless co-op time-trial over the open ocean and the slightest mistake can send them straight down! Can they beat the clock, or will the ocean win?

Transformers Generation 1 Season 2 Part 2 Guide

The following is my personal opinion.

In the second part of season 2, we have a few 2-part episodes, and we see the introduction of more Autobots, many of them out of nowhere.
There has been a long debate in the Transformers community over where they came from. Were they all this time unconscious in the ark and, for unknown reasons, reactivated? Were they active, but we did not see them? Or did they just arrive on earth? For me, the answer has always been simple: they just arrived on earth, and I will explain why below in spoiler in case someone has not seen the episodes. I know it is an old kids show from the 80s, but younger people might not have seen it.

The beginning of the history of the Transformers. This first volume covers the birth of the Transformers brand and line and the Generation 1 Transformers right up until THEY WERE ALL KILLED!.

The following is my personal opinion.

Let the Beast Wars Begin

I am breaking season 2 into three parts, since it has a lot more episodes.

Part 1 is the first 13 episodes that contain mostly returning characters from season one.

There are not any storywise episodes here, the only somewhat important episodes here are 'The Immobilizer' for introducing Carly and 'The Insecticon Syndrome' for introducing Beachcomber.
An additional slightly noteworthy episode is 'Enter the Nightbird' for introducing Nightbird, though it is also her only appearance, at least in the show.
The rest of the episodes are mostly ok and can be fun. But there are some episodes that I consider bad, and I recommend skipping them. A prime (pun intended) example is the episode 'A Prime Problem' , which even as a kid I remember not liking because the Autobots were not able to tell who the real Optimus Prime was.

Who could be the real one?

Transformers: Cyberworld is an animated web series showing on YouTube that debuted on July 12, 2025, animated by Omens Studios.

The series follows the adventures of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and other Transformers who have been transported to a mysterious digital "Cyberworld", forced to participate in its numerous "games" in order to survive.

The following is my personal opinion.

This is the season that started everything. Introducing the Autobots and Decepticons for the first time, their home planet Cybertron, and their civil war that led them to Earth. We get to know the leaders of both factions, key Transformers characters, and their human allies. Additionally, during the course of the first season, we are introduced to some subgroups of each faction.
As someone who always loved robots, I fell in love with the show instantly. I think the episodes of the first season are good and are still enjoyable now.

Concluding Obscure Characters Month 2025 with the story of a glorious Autobot whose legacy streches across the galaxy and spans multiple lifetimes - literally! From his "Diaclone" origins as "Powered Convoy" to his reinvention through the combined efforts of IDW Publishing and the "Masterpiece" toyline to his impending return in next year's "Missing Link," these are The Basics on DELTA MAGNUS!

t has become a glorious tradition, has it not? Once a year, we set aside our differences, pause the Eternal War, and I grace you with my presence for the holidays.

I didn't realise that European Amazon stores in different countries sell the same things, delivered to the same places, at different prices.

Whilst the set is £84.55 in the UK, it's significantly cheaper in Italy, despite shipping from the same distribution centre.
