
What is Tennis?
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent or between two teams of two players each. Each player uses a tennis racket strung with a cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. he object is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. If a player is unable to return the ball successfully, the opponent scores a point.
What do I need to play Tennis?
A Racquet, tennis balls and the basic moves, Forehand, backhand and serve.

Eras
In tennis there are 2 eras, the amateur era and the open era.
In the Amateur era, the sport was divided between amateurs, who played in the prestigious Grand Slams (now called the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon Championships, and U.S. Open) and other official tournaments, and professionals, who were limited to barnstorming tours and exhibition matches.Source: Britannica
