Tired of Mac's gentrified slums and the absolute incompetence of their maintenance and staff. Looking for something in/near Country Club Plaza. Was hoping to maybe get some personal recommendations here if anyone has experience with apartments in the area. Budget is up to approximately $1700/month for rent and utilities. I've got 2 small dogs so it'll need to be pet friendly, but that doesn't seem to be too hard to find in KC thankfully.

Do any of you know about low cost/free vet care in the metro? I have a neighbor that has pets which need health care. I want to give the some info on assistance programs to help, but I haven't been able to find much.

They have a dog that lives outside under a trampoline and I'm worried he may be dealing with flystrike. I'm sure he isn't vaccinated.

They also have cats that aren't spayed/neutered and frequently end up with kittens. One looked in bad shape and they told me it has seizures. When I asked about their vet, they told me that had someone coming by to look at her. No idea what that meant.

I'd rather not have to call Animal Welfare services if I don't have to, but I will. I like animals more than people.

I'll take any recommendations or suggestions you have!
