👋 Hey engineers!

I’ve just started a dedicated community for process and chemical engineering:

👉 !ChemicalEngineering@lemmy.world

If you're into industrial chemistry, process design, thermodynamics, safety engineering, separation technologies, energy systems or plant optimization –> this is the place to be.

So I'm hoping this is the right place for this, but I think i have a problem that y'all can help with. I have a 3.5-4ft ball python (Oli Syyyykes) in a 40 gal wide glass tank. Ik its too small, but im actively looking for a bettet enclosure for her. So. My question is can I take 2 40gal wide tanks and use aquarium silicone to somehow connect the 2 and make a massive space for her? I know that I would need to make a custom lid and it would probably need a support bar across the top. What do y'all think? Is this a ridiculous stoner idea? TIA

This design is incredibly clever. I assume Boeing and other companies use similar masks? Maybe someone here knows more about commercial aviation than I do and can chime in.

Apparently Collins Aerospace makes them, or at least a version of them:

So clean. So orderly. This is pure satisfaction.
