[USA] PRAIRIELAND FEDERAL TRIAL UPDATE 3/10

In a surprise move, all 9 defense teams rested their case immediately following the conclusion of the prosecution's time.

This means closing arguments will begin tomorrow, and the jury is expected to begin deliberation Thursday, 3/12.

📣 PRAIRIELAND FEBRUARY 17 TRIAL UPDATES 📣

MISTRIAL DECLARED

On the first day of trial, Trump appointee Judge Pittman preemptively declared a mistrial, suspending the jury selection process and delaying the start of trial.

We are left to wonder if the seemingly sympathetic jury and the large show of support outside the courthouse influenced the judge’s rash decision.

☎️ CALL-IN CAMPAIGN HAPPENING RIGHT NOW 📞

The Prairieland defendants are facing horrendous conditions in Tarrant County Jail where they were moved this week before trial. They have had their legal paperwork confiscated, held in filthy cells, and treated as violent and dangerous. They are strapped to a cart when leaving their cells and many have not been able to access the tablets that allow them to contact their family or reading material.

[USA] A new date has been set for the start of the Prairieland Defendants’ federal jury trial: Feb 17!
We have been told this date is set. The North Texas federal court circuit in Fort Worth is well-known for being fast & firm with trial dates. Dario Sanchez’s state trial is set for April 20 in Johnson County. This is not a lot of time! [USA] Feds Arrest Another Person in Prairieland Case

In an early morning raid yesterday, feds arrested another person in connection with the July 4 Prairieland ICE Detention Center noise demo. Over 3 months after the protest, Janette Goering was arrested by federal & local police at her home in Carrollton, Texas, on Tuesday, October 21. Goering is being held at Johnson County Jail on a state charge of aiding in the commission of terrorism & has a $5 million bond.

She and her codefendants endure tortuous conditions in #JohnsonCountyJail in #Cleburne #Texas, including solitary confinement and guards reportedly strip searching them up to 3 times a day. With her bond set at $10 million, she has been held in solitary for over 2 months now.
