“It’s time to ensure that government red tape isn’t preventing investments in new technologies and methods that can help support recycling here at home. Today’s hearing was an opportunity to discuss these issues and look at long term solutions that support both mechanical and advanced recycling here in the United States,” said Chairman Palmer. “Finding ways to harness e-waste recycling will be critical as we look to find new sources of critical materials to support our economy and national security, and we cannot afford to let these vital materials go to waste.”

This is a post to get some discussion going about the differences in recycling in different places. I challenge you to learn a bit more about recycling in your country or nearby cities. I'm working on a recycling project and genuinely curious about people's experiences in different places.

Here are some sample questions to answer if you don't know where to get started:

Do you trust that your stuff gets recycled?

What would you change about your local system if you could?

Is there anything about recycling you'd want to learn more about?

I'm in Chicago and was constantly confused about what actually works here versus what's just for show. Would love to hear how it is elsewhere, thanks!
