There is a strage rate limit error affecting multiple instances right now (at least db0, blahaj and slrpnk), and the Lemmy-ui doesn't show proper error messages 🤦
Lemmy in previous version changed something in the way source ips are handled. Maybe it's related to that

reading the context and the comments was just sort of depressing. its sad that so many supposed-anarchist communities police each other in such a suffocating way… honestly tracks with how organizing with them irl can be sometimes.
on another note, there is no way that “tankie” will become a stand-in for any anticommunist slur- and that anarchists will find themselves eventually being labeled tankies and excluded from the very spaces they created by other liberals because they were already feeding into anticommunism, right?
Also, when one is banned from an anarchist community, on who's authority is the ban occurring? Does everyone wait for consensus or is it just based on vibes? what keeps it from being “authoritarian”? (this is a genuine question, not meant to be sarcastic)

Anarchists already get labeled as tankies sometimes from people who think "tankie" is synonymous with "socialist" but it never really sticks as we don't support authoritarian nations. No big deal. We get labeled other things as anarchism is scary he dangerous to the status of quo of course. But that's the way the game is played.
They have to make things up because otherwise they have nothing.
So the "drama" is that you've become little more tolerant of hexbear? I think it's the most boring drama ever, but respect your choice and maybe it'll indeed stop a further "DB0 HAS BECOME A TANKIE INSTANCE, LET'S DEFEDERATE" -bomb from building, idk

You'll get no tears from me, we need less tolerance of tankies. Good on you though for stepping down voluntarily. A lot of other people in your position might cause lots of friction and drama over a long period of time, before being removed by vote.
I'm not really familiar with this specific drama, but "Tankies surprised anarchists don't like them" reads like an onion headline. They call it leftist infighting, but "my boot is rainbow colored 🥺👉👈" has never really convinced anyway.

This is such a dumb dismissal, it makes the assumption that all leftists are the same that all leftists are good. They aren't Authoritarian leftists are not good in any way. They do not strive for anything we strive for and they promote authoritarian regimes who seek to abolish our rights. I don't understand how Hexbears can be so favorable to Russia, a country who's anti-LGBTQ oppression is hundreds of times worse than what's going on in America right now.
