Shit, just linux.

Use this community for anything related to linux for now, if it gets too huge maybe there will be some sort of meme/gaming/shitpost spinoff. Currently though… go nuts

Funny how chinese (car) maufacturers start appearing as "the good ones", because I can't see them starting to bend over backwards to make Google happy by locking devices out that don't carry the appropriate signature.

And nothing of value was lost (that is, VW).

Thanka for clearly being dicks, VW. One more thing on top of your cars being as bad as American cars.

Do you just go around checking people's voting history at random?

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 0 points 4 days ago (2 children)

I was wondering who the one downvoter on that was.

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 0 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

And you remembered the username and brought it up in an entirely different thread? That's weird. You didn't even stop to wonder why they might have downvoted it? Maybe they're in favor of taxing the rich, and have disagreements with that particular strategy. Maybe they have no problem with that strategy and the downvote was an accident. Maybe they are against taxing the rich.

Don't bring it up in another thread dude that's weird as hell and adds nothing to the conversation

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Was the top of their comments list. Chose the top.

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 0 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

So you checked who downvoted it, and followed them to an unrelated thread to whine about it?

That. Is. Weird. As. Hell. Don't do that. It's borderline harassment

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 0 points 4 days ago (2 children)

It’s two buttons. It’s not weird. I’ll do what I want lol. Everything you do on Lemmy is public record. You know that right? Yikes.

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It's fucking weird bro. Lemvotes lets you see who voted on posts and comments, that's fine. You clicked on someone's profile and read their comments, that's fine. You harassed them about how they voted on an entirely different post, and that's not fine

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Your opinion doesn’t matter to me. My client lets me see the votes and copy a Lemvotes url. I hit reply to the top thing in their comments list because they didn’t comment in the other post. You can try to make this a bigger thing than it is, but you aren’t making me feel bad for calling out a person who simps for the rich. That’s not a thing I will ever feel bad for. The more you try, the more I laugh at you.

It seems like you're the one who doesn't really get how this works. You left a comment in a community based on linux, under a post regarding Volkswagen not playing nicely with GrapheneOS. You are so bad at using this platform that you thought that what you did was equivalent to sending a DM, which is something you could have done.

I'm not saying you're terminally socially inept because you don't like people who don't like taxing the rich, I'm saying you're terminally socially inept because you have no idea how social media works, and you don't even realize that you violated the maxim of relevance.

And like I said earlier, you didn't even consider the variety of reasons why that downvote might have been left. Maybe that user does like taxing the rich, and has disagreements with that particular avenue. Maybe that user does like taxing the rich, and the downvote was an accident. Maybe that user is against taxing the rich, and you still harassed them about it in a completely different post. And you're so bad at using this platform that you don't even realize that that's what you did lmfao

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Wow not gonna read all that but dayumn you’re passionate about this.

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Damn dude 3 paragraphs is too much? You should be embarrassed about that lmfao

I guess tl;dr the fact that you don't even realize that you're leaving comments on posts demonstrates an incredible lack of understanding of this platform, and you should feel almost as embarrassed about that as you should about the fact that you can't read

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Nothing you say can make me feel bad.

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yeah you would have to be able to read in order for words to make you feel bad. Keep harassing people about their votes though, hopefully you get banned soon enough

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

You simp for billionaires. Haha.

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I'd ask when I did that, but I know I'm talking to a particularly illiterate brick wall. My only wish is that Lemmy would notify you when I block you

[–] PabloSexcrowbar@piefed.social 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Damn. I haven't felt this much pity for someone in a long time. I hope your life improves.

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Because I pushed a button in my Lemmy client that shows vote results because I was curious who would downvote taxing the rich?

That says a lot about you.

[–] PabloSexcrowbar@piefed.social 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

That you have so little going on that's actually worthwhile that you have to resort to arguing with strangers on the internet all day, every day. Nothing positive to add, no positives seen in the world, just spite and rage. I hope you get better, friend, because that's a miserable way to live.

[–] kibblebits@quokk.au 0 points 4 days ago

You sound just like me. You took the time to essentially do what I did.

Lmfao, you feel sorry for yourself.

I needed that laugh. Thanks bud.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 0 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Welp, here goes any chance my next car will be a VW.

Really showing their Reich roots on this one.

[–] KurtVonnegut@mander.xyz 0 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Staying close to their Nazi roots.

"Volkswagen keeps the memory alive: The company actively and responsibly communicates its founding history and sees itself in the responsibility to continue to remember the fate of the forced laborers, to commemorate the victims and to stand up for respect, tolerance and diversity."

It's called 'keeping the memory alive' when you pivot to supporting war crimes once again.
