Looking at floss on Kmart site, see a pet toothpaste that claims to contain fluoride. Isnโ€™t that dangerous? Turns out yes, yes it is. The more you know. https://www.hillspet.com.au/pet-care/routine-care/dog-and-cat-toothpaste-and-toothbrushes

Morning. Iโ€™m up and about nice and early today, as Iโ€™ve been up since 6.30.

Market run commencing in 3โ€ฆ2โ€ฆ

I was looking at some random streetview addresses today and have a serious question.

Who put a pole there?

[โ€“] TheWitchofThornbury2@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Mini roundabout. Could increase traffic flow.

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

I sort of feel like a streeet with four houses in it shouldn't need traffic management solutions. But if you do then using a pole just means you are missing the opportunity for a small garden bed.

A genius who knew someday that's gonna be used as a wicket by the kids in the street.

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

That would be a good option. Especially as it probably dates back to the days before everyone was issued a wheelie bin.

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I reckon the pole was there first then they put a suburb there.

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

I've had a look at a few other courts in the area - all of them have a pole in the same spot. It appears to be a deliberate design choice.

Do you ever think there's more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?

[โ€“] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Just because we have chiseled abs and stunning features, it doesn't mean that we too can't not die in a freak gasoline fight accident.

[โ€“] StudChud@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

There was a moment last night, when she was sandwiched between the two Finnish dwarves and the Maori tribesmen, where I thought, "Wow, I could really spend the rest of my life with this woman".

[โ€“] TheWitchofThornbury2@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I think the operative word here is 'ridiculously'. I can't actually say based on personal experience. You?

[โ€“] Force_majeure1234@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

It's hard to put my experience into perspective... I've always been like this y'know?

Not really no.

[โ€“] SituationCake@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

Love this movie.

[โ€“] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

I think I will spend the day watching LOTR and The Hobbit movies.

or maybe I should watch all the star wars movies

okely dokely, going upstairs to watch The Last Jedi

[โ€“] useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

One of my resolutions this year is to not rewatch any movie I have already seen. I have slipped once or twice, but for the most part itโ€™s been super enjoyable.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

some movies I study carefully

others are comfort

but I have never seen the last jedi

watching some of return of the jedi, damn , i know it's a kid's movie but compared to The Mandalorian it's just not good in any way

[โ€“] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

Bulk roasting veg, yaaaaay

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

So the MIL never got her car serviced and now it's completely fucked. The dishwasher also isn't draining. You know damn sure I'm trying to get that dishwasher to drain because I don't want to have to get a new car AND a new dishwasher

[โ€“] useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Speaking of movies, I took receipt of this handsome edition of โ€œA Masterpiece in Disarrayโ€ an oral history of David Lynchโ€™s Dune movie. I think Iโ€™m one of a half dozen people that actually loves this movie.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

I too am one of the half dozen

I just finished watching The Last Jedi.

first. It's been 50 years since I watched the first Star Wars movie on first release at the cinema. As someone who grew up in a farming town, who aspired, who loved sci fi and the space program it really resonated and I loved it.

The Last Jedi. Just wow. This is like a real movie with 3d characters, a consistent world, a good plot, some real wisdom, beautiful cinematography and Adam Driver and Mark Hamill were amaze

like 5 hobbits out 4

I saw Rogue One at imax when it first came out and it didn't hit me the same

HAWT. less than 1/8tsp hurt.

Happy that's done. Nice clean ferment. pH about 3.9 so in the safety zone. 1 more big one to go in melbs then to find some little bottles for it.
