Park On The Hudson

Fishers fish quietly on roads
    In the world.
Drivers drive blindly on roads
    Around the world.
Children run, mothers call,
Golden is the world.
A loving pair passes by,
Sometimes through the world.

Fishers fish quietly on rivers
    Untl the sun sets.
Drivers drive blindly on paths
    Swiftly toward death.
Children, blissful in the sun,
Play at eternity.
Sometimes a pair passes by,
With them goes the time.

Fishers fish quietly on rivers—
    Lonely hangs the rod.
Drivers drive blindly on path
    Restless for rest.
Children play, mothers call,
Eternity, almost—
A loving pair passes by,
Bearing the burden of Time.
