Just got on xiaohongshu the other day and am wondering why the homepage is full of such weird posts. A lot of posts asking foreigners if they are attractive and some strangely pro-US stuff everywhere, even asking if Trump actually secretly means well and has a heart of gold or something. The comments are even worse at times being outright racist, and it's not super uncommon. Not common but not very rare either, maybe once every 10-15 posts. What's up with that? Is it cuz my public IP is US-Based?

I noticed this too, when I joined in January 2025 it wasn't too bad but slowly I began to notice more racist and questionable content being posted, primarily reposted from western tiktok. I had to leave that app because of this and it was really unfortunate because I met some friendly people from China and we were getting along very well
