Those things don't apply to most crimes. The whole "pressing charges" thing is a trope or meme, except for a few specific cases like minor assault, minor property damage, defamation, certain sexual offenses (varies greatly between municipalities), etc. The vast majority of crime is prosecuted by the state without needing the victim's consent.

Right, IDK how the proper term is in English, but who will bring this to some relevant authority that will initiate that prosecution? Will any particular authority care enough to prosecute? Is there any realistic chance that this will result in legal consequences?

You seem to be speaking from an American point of view. It most definitely is a thing in other parts of the world.
