BONUS #1: Star Trek Continues, episode 3 "Fairest of Them All"

Written by James Kerwin & Vic Mignogna, directed by James Kerwin.

Stardate unknown (December 2267)
(Entire episode takes place in the Mirror Universe)

"James T. Kirk chose his path. It is time we choose ours." - Spock

After Prime Captain James Kirk and his team restore themselves back to their own universe, their Mirror counterparts return to the ISS Enterprise. The Terran Captain Kirk immediately orders a torpedo barrage of the Halkin homeworld due to their refusal to turn over the planet's immense dilithium deposits. This results in cascading explosions within the dilithium substrate that slowly starts to rip the entire planet apart. This misstep, combined with the words of the peaceful version of Captain Kirk, encourages Commander Spock and Lieutenant Moreau (Asia DeMarcos) to sow descent among the crew, professing that peaceful coexistence is the only future for the beleaguered Terran Empire.

#38: Star Trek: The Original Series, season 2, episode 4 "Mirror, Mirror"

Written by Jerome Bixby, directed by Marc Daniels.

Stardate unknown (December 2267)
(Some events take place in the Mirror Universe)

"In every revolution, there is one man with a vision." - Captain James Kirk

Captain James Kirk, Commander Scott, Doctor McCoy, and Lieutenant Uhura are on the Halken homeworld negotiating for dilithium mining rights. The Halkens absolutely refuse to allow it. The leader of the Halkin Council, Tharn (Vic Perrin) cites the possibility that, while the Federation is a peaceful organization now, they do not know how they might use the dilithium in the future. Dejected, but not defeated, Kirk insists on further talk in spite of the Halkins' unyielding code of ethics and the landing party returns to the ship due to a building ion storm. While beaming aboard, the ion storm causes interference and the landing party's patterns seem to disappear. Instead, they step off the transporter and onto an Enterprise that is the same... but different.

Captain Kirk send a desperate request for peaceful communication and, after several failed translation attempts, gets a response. Soledad Canyon was used for 4 episodes of DS9. It's a stunning former quarry. The "coastline" in the upper pic they piped in. The downside of that location is that it would reach temps up to 128°F/53°C. Caused some issues with the Jem'Hadar makeup.

I was confused as hell when I saw this YT clip earlier today, and had to go watch the Voyager episode, which I'd originally missed. Very cool how they brought back Takei (Sulu), Whitney (Rand) and Ansara (Kang) for this ep, 30yrs after TOS debuted.

The three together really helped make the premise work!
