I am interested in accessing the data of igdb.com for a hobby project. They have an api that is "free", ie it requires a twitch account with 2fa enabled which means i would need to hand over my phone number to twitch. That is a hard no from my side.

Anyone know of a way to get a dump of their database or a similar source where i could get api access without revealing personal information? For my project i am after only title, release year, some sort of rating and some sort of playtime.

I’ve been trying to find a community-made GitHub project that can fill the gap left by Soggfy, which I used daily until it stopped getting updates.

What I am looking for is something focused on Spotify, since its library is much larger than most alternatives and my Likes include local artists and bands that are not available elsewhere.

I have already done some digging online, but most of what I found was dead ends or tools that did not really match what I need. I also tried a few similar options, but none of them felt like a proper replacement.

Ideally, I am looking for a tool that:

Is free and maintained by the community on GitHub Works directly with Spotify as the main source Offers Spotify as a primary or alternative source in its download options

If anyone knows of a tool that fits this use case, I would really appreciate the recommendation.

I just upgraded and rebooted my Arch Linux system like I have done a gazillion times before. I was firing up my various services and servers - qBittorrent-nox among them - and I wasn't able to qbittorrent-nox -d it. This has never happened before. An error message says that I cannot launch qBittorrent-nox again, because it is already running, which it isn't. I ps -e | grep torrent-ed, systemctl list --all-ed, but there really is no qBittorrent-nox running.

Has this happened to anybody here? Please advise.

Cemu (The Wii U emulator) was recently compromised by a malicious attacker using a known developers account, this compromise took place from May 6th to May 12th, and introduces malware that is known to steal passwords, SSH keys, GitHub tokens, and likely more they are not fully aware of at this moment. We recommend anybody who is on Linux or SteamOS to go into the EmuDeck app, Manage Emulators tab, Cemu, and click Reinstall/Update, and make sure the hash of the AppImage (Located in Home/Applications, right click Cemu AppImage, go into Properties, Checksums, and Calculate the SHA256 hash) matches the non-compromised version provided by the Cemu developers, if you have used Cemu from the dates I have mentioned, and the SHA256 hash does not match what is listed, assume your system may be compromised if it was ran. Naver Webtoon, for one, has rolled out an in-house tool named Toon Radar that embeds invisible watermarks in each chapter. When a pirated copy turns up online, the watermark allows the company to trace it back to the specific account that downloaded it.

Some time back there was a piracy themed meme that I can't seem to find again - I had it stored somewhere but lost it. Maybe someone knows it:
