Hey ya'll,

I've had this idea for a while, wanting to play all my PS2 games with my friend who never really got a chance to experience PS2. It'd be so great if it would just work on steam remote play, but that is broken as of now (the "remoteplay whatever" on github is the only thing I found, it is broken as of today). The only other option i've seen is Parsec, and you can't host from the Linux side!! Which I need it to. I'm on linux, he's on windows.

In my mind it's not hard.. I need his pc's input, and then stream my video audio to him...the same way steam remote play does it.

Any help appreciated! Even if this could work for Duckstation for ps1 games, that'd still be fun.

I'm trying to find a more convenient way to use the emulated portal feature on dolphin/cemu. Is there any way to use it without a second monitor/switching tabs?

For example say an app that connects to the emulator and displays on your phone? Honestly anything that doesn't take focus from the game window would be excellent.

Thank you for the ideas and help!

What a mess, after finally finding an emulator that could run totk on 60fps (with the mod). Too bad the devs blew it 🥲

Can Recomops like Ship of Harkinian be installed on OS's like Batocera and RecalBox (particularly the RPi versions)? It has a native Linux port so I'd imagine it could be possible but these OS's are designed for emulation.

I know, its old and slow.

I was hoping to maybe utilize this laptop as a standalone emulator, since it has vga out and i can plug it right into my crt. However, its a turion x2 with a GeForce 8200m, 3gb ram and an ssd. So far ive only tried running flycast on it and it was a stutter fest. Linux mint is on it right now. I mainly did want to use it for dreamcast emulation as I have a lot of the other consoles in hardware form.

Before I spend a bunch of time tinkering with gpu drivers to see if it will work, should I just give it away and get something better?
