It’s important to know these issues are entirely fixable. They just require real public transparency about what’s blocked and why, real enforcement of global technical standards, and testing and active oversight of the telecommunications sector as a whole. We have none of that currently and it shouldn’t require a consumer class action for this to change.

Have you recieved a summons (letter) either from your municpality or another in which you’re selected to be a juror (If so, what is the process like?). You show up to the courts and assigned a number along with being asked about occupation, status, etc. but is the probability even that high on becoming part of the 12 jurors? Also, is it considered a criminal offense for failing to appear?

ANZAC Day is commemorated on 25 April each year as a tribute to more than 2 million Australians who’ve served in war and peacekeeping operations.

That date is always the same. But how it’s marked as a public holiday varies between states and territories when it falls on a weekend, as it does this year.

Some Australians will get an extra day off as a result, while millions of others won’t.

That can be confusing for employees, and creates a rostering headache for employers operating across states and territories, such as in hospitality, retail, health, transport and other essential services.

Whether you’re an employee or an employer, here’s what you need to know about workers’ rights to paid time off.

More than half of Australia's residents or their parents were born overseas, but many still find having a non-English-sounding name hard.

Absolutely agree with bringing in better labelling and supporting local farmers. With the effects of the ME war just starting on food prices, our governments are going to have to have to find new ways to help not only farmers but consumers.

To corporates like this, cattle are just a commodity. There is so much callousness in the cattle industry and so much suffering by these sentient animals many think of as a steak on a plate.
