absolutely understandable, i was an incredible picky eater as a child, now I'm very much the opposite

I first encountered Tolkien when I was 19 or 20, I was visiting a friend and on the table he had this thick af book. as I've always been an avid reader I was thrilled to see a book that could last me at least one week, I've asked what it was about. "wizards, elves and wars" i never put down faster anything in my life 😂 there's a time for everything I guess, because, oh gosh! i was so wrong!!

yes, Fëanor is so far from the elf-perfection, definitely not the wisest and fairest of all beings. but also his father seems like the only elf who had 2 spouses, probably they were a bit over the top

we had, a few years ago, a massive shitstorm amongst the fandom because of the new translation. it's proper crap honestly, I don't want to talk shit on someone who's way more talent than me (otherwise I'd be the new translator!) but...no, it's awful. the last name of the translator could be translated as exertion, we all joke saying Exertion made reading Tolkien an exertion.

I don't think i have a favourite, but I truly love elrond, he lost basically everyone, his life is so fricking tragic and yet he keeps going, such a strong soul. I also like Rosie (in fact I have a pot called rosie, despite her little presence) because, not knowing, she gave so much strength to Sam, only existing.

gosh i wrote so much, apologise! I bet op is hating us, receiving all these notifications for stuff absolutely unrelated to her post ahah 🙈 #SorryNotSorry

I was planning to take a sabbatical year and to help me with the expenses I wanted to rent my house, as I live in a very touristic area.

I don't want to use airbnb anymore, so, is there any European alternative
