KOSA and other Bad Internet Bills (US-specific for now)

#BadIntrernetBills are moving forward again in Congress and multiple states, so it's time to take action. Groups like Fight for the Future, National Youth Rights Association, EFF, Woodhull Foundation, CDT, and the Internet Society have been sounding the alarm, but Congress is now looking at packaging them together—possibly into must-pass legislation. We're organizing to keep them from sneaking these bad internet bills through.

This community is for news stories, opinion pieces, and action links about these bad internet bills. Please help get the word out!

And if you use microblogging software like Mastodon, please also check out the #BadInternetBills hashtag.

I'm going to grab my bucket of popcorn and wait to see how they think they can enforce that. Sure, anything "sold" within state limits can be forced to do that.

But fuck all stops people from grabbing ventoy and 100 different ISOs hosted outside Illinois and telling the state government to eat your asshole.

This exactly why these laws are successfully being passed, because while you're munching away at your popcorn, Fascist will just seize your ventoys, computers, and assholes out in deathcamps.
That's all it takes, inaction & compliance.

An opinion based article in a yellow "journalism" rag, owned by US based hedge funds highlighting the fact that literally anyone who ever communicated with Epstein in any way is in the Epstein files.

And a Wikipedia article highlighting the extremely shitty and evil behaviour of some horrible police constables in one city of one province.

I'm not sure what the fuck makes you think those in any way makes Canada fascist, but you do you bud.
