The project is based in Belgian, it would be the first European browser engine.

I'm happy for any rendering engine that's not Chromium-based.

Fuck Google.

Haven't heard about Servo for years. Wasn't it a Mozilla project that got abandoned? I might be wrong.

It was picked up by linux foundation europe

Excited yes, but realistically we will be lucky if it's usable within 5 years.

Their demo app is surprisingly good at rendering and processing all those monstrosities that webdevs create instead of websites. It still lacks polish, more complicated APIs, the browser tooling around the engine and so on, but I was still impressed when I tried it.

Uuu that's good to know, so maybe its closer that I think ๐Ÿ˜Š

A choice in browsers is good. We need to stop CF blocking browsers which are not based on chromium while we're at it.

This is the point in Servo in which we dance

Interesting, didn't know about Servo. Is it used by any browser or other program?

I believe only the official servo browser is available due to the early days.

Yes it can be used by Tauri so there could be a few Tauri apps using it because of their highly specific needs
