I'm confused. I downloaded the latest version from the website and still have the old one

If I would have read carefully, I would have seen, that they're rolling it out during the next weeks

Weird, I've had this on F-droid Basic for weeks now. Months? Maybe not, but definitely weeks.

I have F-Droid Basic and just downloaded F-Droid 2.0 and I can't tell what the difference is

From the description of the Basic client:

NOTE: The Basic version of F-Droid Client has a reduced feature set (e.g. no nearby share and no panic feature). It targets Android 13 and can do unattended updates without privileged extension or root.

Open it. Search for f-droid. Click it. Scroll down, click on versions. Choose version 2.0 . Install it. You will force upgrading to the latest.

Thank you. Why isn't it on the site though, is the 'rolling release' thing?

Looks like its gonna take a while longer: "We are excited to begin rolling out F-Droid 2.0 to users over the coming weeks after 14 test releases."
