Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I don't think that's true. I've been bombarded with omarchy ads for months. I had no idea what is was about but it just kept popping up on my feeds. It's good to talk about it because until now I just thought it was a new popular arch based distro.
My point is that I think a ton of the money is spent on spreading the word about the new and cool thing. It's important to counter that campaign
Personally, I like the short - punchy approach: Omarchy, the distro also known as Goose-steppy.
It's kinda hilarious that omarchy is just another cringey right wing safe space. As usual it's a small group of individuals with a ton of dirty cash. The linux community is notoriously socialist in leanings. Any right wing linux users would feel isolated, because theyre fringe, they spend as much money as they want for advertising they still be alone.
Echo chambers work best in isolation...
