A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

No they don't, they might say they do but their actions belie their words. Many of them voted for this.

Are you an American? Are you talking to Americans? The Guardian is corporate-owned propaganda.
Correct me if I'm wrong or ootl but isn't the guardian an independent media company?
They're owned by Scott Trust, a venture capital firm.

Take from that what you will. My take is that "venture capital" is a polite pseudonym for fascist
That's not a completely accurate assessment of that Wikipedia page, but I do agree VCs are usually behind every other shitty thing going on right now
There's also a voluntary cost associated with the union. I can foresee people liking it on paper, but backing away when it's time to forfeit $90 per month. (I don't know the average cost, but that's what I pay). You gotta be in a good spot to support it.
