We've already been through this in 2014. That doesn't work with russia. They will simply invade again and people in Ukraine know this.
If he would get US intelligence briefings instead of Russian intelligence briefings, he’d also know that a major part of the Ukrainian defense fortifications are in the areas that Putin wants them to give up.
What's a "US intelligence"?
Brutal and uncharitable, but there is a certain level of truth to it.
Note, for all my life I've defended the US in a pragmatic manner (best option we have for better or for worse), but the second election of Trump (not that Obama or Biden were that great) honestly has made me re-evaluate this position.
