You know what, fair, fair.

The fucking Doom 3 BFG edition. Yeah, i get that people hated the flashlight mechanics, but it was an integral point if both the gameplay and atmosphere. i much prefer the Doom 3 duct tape mod where your pistol and shotgun were the only guns that got a flashlight and it was significantly narrower and worse than the handlight. made it riskier to use powerful guns, but balanced rather nicely. not that Doom 3 was a hard game, its ridiculously easy, even on veteran.

but the BFG edition butchered the lighting and gave you a shoulder light. it ruined it so badly.

ME3MP was so dope. I would have loved if they had included it in the legendary edition.

Destiny 2. Its such a toothless, soulless game. There's no message, no meaningful story since its a live service, nothing changes in the world as far as i can tell, the themes are all over the place, and, this one is personal, the artstyle is so sterile and corporate. There's no bite, no edge, nothing that hooks me in to this world. Sure the gunplay is good, but the gameplay is bogged down by just bloated rpg mechanics and loot mechanics, and i need more than gunplay, i need an interesting atmosphere or characters. Risk of Rain is a good example of having great gameplay, mixed with a great atmosphere and intriguing world. Its darkly humorous, it's over the top, its lonely at times, it has bite and character.

Edit: Maybe im a little bit of a hypocrite, because one of my timesink games is Elite Dangerous, but i think that artstyle blows Destiny 2 out of the water.

i was gonna change it, but i dont even respect pinot noir enough to do that.

Wime, specifically Pinot Noir. It's disgusting. It tastes like rotten dirt.

Ive seen people with other color huds, and i really wanna know how to do it!

Moths are so cool, way better than Butterflies.

Whatever the song is that uses the tune from "drift away" and turns it into a shitty country song. I fucking despise that song.

I know that you can run both just fine, but I wanna know if they interface with each other. Like, can I have gravships be my low orbit dropships and my SoS ship be like the cruiser in high orbit? Or can I have a grav anchored station in low orbit that acts as a refueling post for SoS ships and Grav ships?I just wanna know if the mechanics mesh well.

Edit: Yes, yes it does

I'll tell you mine, I have never, ever sold my colony, and I have never used fire foam shell, tho, i do recognize both of those things as potentially useful, especially, selling your colony, its like a NG+.

I dont play this game like a story teller. I play on easy, with weak raids, with no insta colonist death, no friendly fire, and with reloads enabled. I just wanna build a cool colony! But it got me thinking...

How do you guys play? super hardcore or really chill, somewhere in the middle perhaps? I wanna know.

Title says it all, I am using the latest version of Linux Mint, with an Archer T2U Plus usb. I can detect and connect to the 2.4g just fine.

I am using the morrownr 8812au driver from github. What might be the problem? I've heard I might need to add the 5g MAC address to my network manager, but I want to make absolutely sure it isnt like an option or toggle i have on. I had this same issue in MX Linux about six months back but still no dice.

Seriously, they are both former military, my dad was in for like 30 years, how do they like the drunk secretary? I get that he saw combat, but being in combat doesn't automatically make you qualified for... well anything except therapy and medical care.

I'll give my example and I think I'm going to get a lot of hate for it. I DESPISE Dark Souls 3. It is such a mediocre game when it comes to the actual gameplay. There is like zero build diversity, the combat isn't indepth and, while the other souls games have at least decent RPG mechanics and exploration can make things easier, DS3 just demands you rolly polly your way to victory. There is no weight to like anything, you feel so floaty and light, and you fold like a peice of paper when you get hit. And so many attacks don't care about your positioning, and instead only if you mashed the dodge button at the correct time, something Elden Ring kind of does too, but it adds a jump button to retain some offense and I find that I'm able to out position bosses and enemies more often in it without actually dodging.

Dark Souls 3 is such a mindnumbingly boring game for me, I feel zero excitement playing it.

Love DS1, DS2, Bloodborne and Elden Ring though, great games all around.

And the music for DS3 is amazing and I do love the Pontiff Sullivan fight.

This can be anything from Hyperspace in Star Wars, Warp Drive in Star Trek, travel through the Warp in Warhammer 40k or anything else.

I've always liked "slow" FTL travel, where going a few light-years still takes a few days or so. I also really like travel through an alternate dimension like in 40k, Event Horizon, Witchspace in Elite Dangerous.

I wanna know your favorite versions, or do you prefer stories that obey the laws of known physics, like the Expanse or Rimworld?

We all know the good movies, but I wanna hear what are your least favorite Bond movies. Mine are Quantum of Solace and Live and Let Die.

I have been attempting to open a port to host an Arma 3 server but have been unable to. I have a logged into my router, and opened the ports, but they remain closed when I try to test the ports.

I have a rather unusual setup for my connection, I'll admit, where I use Ethernet, but its through a Powerline Ethernet Adapter. Could that be a problem with port forwarding?

I use an older router, a Motorola MT7700, I think, (Im not at home to check atm.) I run Linux Mint, it has no problems afaik.

I assume they just drink whatever slop they are told, but are they any that actually use their brains?

What I mean is like, what do you think is unironically awesome, even if people now think its cringe or stupid?
