What's a moth's favorite software stack? LAMP!

Not to sound like a boomer, but please god, tell me in-person hiring is back. I desperately need to get out of a toxic situation, and I shit you not, have applied to hundreds of listings without a single reply.

The two best ways to spy and control on you.

  1. Always know and dictate your location.
  2. Always know who you're communicating with.

Seems pretty fucking weird for one company to possess the information about multiple nation's armies. Certainly won't bite them in the ass.

The lore is whatever you can twist into it. You already said it lol

I agree with you, but you fail to account for the absolutely insane people on earth who do dangerous and unpleasant things out of sheer boredom.

Maybe you and I won't go to space, but Stockton Rush's reincarnation will be living on mars in a fiberglass dome covered in their own shit. Given we make it past the global warming filter first.

Because window is genuinely more of a pain to use in 2026.

Someone has been spamming the "login with authenticator" button on my email for a couple of days now.

Support says there's nothing I can do and that their "internal reporting" catches these people. Bullshit.

Anyway, so glad I started removing Microsoft from my life over a year ago. I just can't wait for the day I'm able to delete it all.

Bought this car second hand, they apparently put iridium spark plugs in, but i want to know if I should be concerned with the buildup and rusty appearance it's developed. For all I know this spark plug could be from 10 years ago.

Do I need to replace the plugs, and is that actually rust? Does this mean I have an issue with my head gasket?

Edit: Thanks guys! I'll be ordering some new plugs soon.

I tried to push that plastic tab part but it just snapped off. 🫠

Hey guys! I just wanted to share a proof of concept real quick. No hate at all to GIMP or Pinta, but I just really love Paint.net as I've been using it for over a decade. And since I completely switched over to Arch a year ago, that means the only way I can enjoy using Paint.net again is if I add all the missing Direct 2D implementations. How hard could it be? 😅

As you can see, it's not perfect.. or even usable, but it loads without crashing! And that's good enough for me to call it quits tonight.

Anyone else experience this?

You run into a niche or weird issue. So you google "how to x", "y not working on z" or "Error code: 123"; The 1st, 2nd, 3rd page are infected, probably 90% AI slop. Don't have any luck even with the one blog post that was probably written by a human.

Now I have to go to YouTube. Look for a tutorial, 1st, 2nd, 3rd video all AI. AI voice, AI avatar, bot comments like "😍😍😍".

Finally I reach a real video from a year or two ago that actually solved my issue. Took 4 hours when normally I could find it in 1 hour tops.

The jump from using 2Gb to 800Mb is just disabling telemetry in VS Code server. What the hell!?!

As the article notes, the increase seems to be driven mainly by users in Asia, where recycling and reusing older hardware is quite common. I wonder if third-party companies are offering extended security patches there, which could make affordable second-hand Windows 7 machines more appealing for people who just need them for browsing or light tasks. It would certainly make sense given recent fiascos and Microsoft’s current stance on AI, especially with generative AI being used to develop system-level code.

Playing around with the reflections textures and some archival transparencies from some beta builds of windows 8. I can't help but feel this is exactly how this texture was meant to be applied to the explorer shell. Kind of like the office suite at the time, if any of you played around with the different textures you could apply there.

Note: My change log claims to be version 1.2(which comes after 1.14). Bliss 2016 rescan, a full res version of windows 11 img50, as well as PixelSense and office template backgrounds might be missing from the archive I linked. No idea what's up with that.
