In most markets Senior developers often command salaries exceeding $150,000 USD per year ... Compared to its competitors, Session operates extremely efficiently

How much do they earn at session?

How many are in "a lean team"?

Vanadium is much faster than ff and blocks roughly the same things. I still use ff :( (i know this is linux but I don't use any chromium browsers on linux and my wifi card is so old I can't say anything about browser speed)

I just browse text based websites. To me the browser performance doesn't really matter at all.

Does it support pwa? Does it allow to block ads and harmful content? That's important to me.

My option is to use a VPN at home. Sad world. It's the only way I can sleep well.

Your post uses more em dashes than usual. Must be ai generated as well.

I use it for a couple of years. It's great. Pixel pros have a great camera quality and they run everything smoothly. With graphene, you are more under control of your phone than before.

I tried "all" settings. I tried reading the logs and norhing helped. I had many months without issues. How do you guys debug it? The logs aren't too helpful for me and there are too many settings for me to play with. I've got an intel GPU with eirher QSV or VAAPI. Disabling does not work either. CPU is normal, GPU is normal. RAM is not full.

Edit:

  • one drive was failing. SMART showed a dying drive. I replaced it and everything is smooth again. That is why I couldn't find anything within the logs. And until today I didn't know how to read io properly and check for smart status.

Things to watch out for

  • cpu usage
  • gpu usage
  • right gpu tools. Properly passed to container. Properly used by jellyfin.
  • proper transcoding settings with the gpu within jellyfin
  • ram
  • storage of drives
  • io write/read speed
  • jellyfin folders on ssd, media on hdd
  • healt / smart status of drives
  • lan bottleneck

Just wanted to share it. I just discovered it. Looks cool

Currently I use firetv stick but I hate the ads. I only use it to launch arte, jellyfin and smarttube so it's OK. But if I would have children it would be very bad because it's filled with shiny trash everywhere. I wouldn't want my kids (or anyone) to see that stuff.

I am looking forward to plasma bigscreen in june but I can't add more value to it right now than donating to kde. Is there something else? I've got a Samsung TV which is on the same level of badness as firetv. It could be worse but it's far from good as well

Currently, I am in a cut. I try not to overeat. Eating enough protein and more than TDEE-500kcal. Sometimes my calorie deficit is larger than 500kcal, especially if I go cycling or hiking. On those days, I simply add another protein rich meal consisting of Tofu and some vegetables, just to get enough calories out of fear to lose muscles. Do I have to do that?

When is an aggressive cut good? Only if you need to get to a certain weight for a competition?

I can not find any primary or reputable source, only blog posts about it.

Edit: this sounds good https://macrofactor.com/cutting-calculator/

With energy deficits smaller than about 500 Calories per day (which would equate to losing about 1 pound or 0.5kg per week), subjects (on average) were able to experience a bit of body recomposition (losing fat, while gaining a little muscle). With deficits larger than 500 Calories per day, subjects tended to lose lean mass, with the rate of lean mass loss increasing as energy deficits grew

Meaning, avoiding an aggressive cut is advisable if you don't have to get below a certain weight

Which lifting belt can you recommend (for amateurs) in Germany/Europe?

I've read strengthshop a couple of times but that may have been just ads, so I don't know if I simply pay an ad premium.

Belt A for ~50€ is made out of Amara Synthetic Leather. That should be good, right?

Belt B for 100€ is made from premium synthetic Amara leather. Probably the machine had more room to move around. The belt looks easier to use.

As an amateur, not looking to become a professional, but I still training two times a week, what would you recommend? 50€ is an OK price to pay for a belt I guess, 100 looks a bit expensive.

A: Weightlifting Double Prong Buckle Tapered Belt, Black - 8MM B: Black Lever Belt, 13mm - IPF Approved

It's the one-rep max calculation of Flexify. How weak am I? How much progress did I leave on the table for not working out properly? That's what you get if you only fuck around and don't follow a proper program.

It's in kg and I'm in a cut. I really like how strong I became

I posted already in c/art https://lemmy.zip/post/59580730 but I'd love to have an open solution which is why I post it here as well

I'd like to view more art. Where do I find it?

And after finding a nice picture, how can I save it and store it for later? How can I share "my collection"?

Not only digital art but art from 100 years ago but digital. Is there some wikipedia/openstreetmap/listenbrainz/tmdb for art?

Currently, I save the images and post them to my pixelfed profile (privately) with the source link and a title. It works but it is stupid.

I already asked about theater and neodb was an option but I don't think that that you could apply it to art https://lemmy.zip/post/58053680

Do you move your (lower) back back and forth during the exercise?

I find mixed recommendations online. so far, I think it is better to keep the lower back stiff and focus on arms, shoulders and upper back. Also, you don't move the back when doing barbell rows which is the same movement.

For example, jeff nippard moves his back at 6:00 min in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAXkl-AdJFg not as strong as others do, but still.

Here, they keep the back perfectly straight https://www.muscleandstrength.com/exercises/seated-row.html

In my gym many people (all that I witness) move their back.

Here and there are posts about tailwind losing its revenue stream. And then people / post authors conclude open source is lost and spread FUD.

Do you think your projects die because of LLMs?

I only have public hobby projects, I am not afraid. I also try to donate to a lot of free software that I use or like.

E.g. this https://programming.dev/post/43810907 or https://programming.dev/post/45292081

Is simplematrixbotlib the way to go or are there other better alternatives?

MyBot

I want a bot that sends me one message per day. It shall be a message to kick off thoughts / reflection / meditation / contemplation. I already have lots of questions in a csv. It's as simple as take a random note and send it to me at 06:00.

In a second step I could add commands like \question and \q to prompt a random question. I could add "users", i.e. me, and vote on the questions with smileys to increase/decrease the likelihood of the question appearing the next time.

actual goal

I want to write a diary / journal every day and having a random question boosts my brain. I tried journiv and I love it but it is not open source, so I have to build something on my own. I am no kotlin dev, but I can use python. I already have a shell version but a UI would be great. Moreover, in a matrix room I can add pictures, videos, and voice memos. That sounds great. Maybe, I can search questions with hashtags.

advice

Is there another tool better suited to do this?

Edit: i have a good working bot. It wasn't too difficult and very easy to set up considering what I got and how little I had to code myself. Whenever I send "!q" I get a random question. I love it. I can write text or send a memo. I should've done that years ago.

edit

maubot has problems with decryption over and over again. And I am not sure how to solve the problem straight forward. It is daunting and I let go of maubot now. It's just not worth it. It was good while it lasted without problems.
