I used to work for a manager who approached me one day to inform me that wearing shorts and flip flops to work was inappropriate.

I was working as a software engineer, I didn’t interact with customers, and spent my entire day at the back of the building with other engineers.

I asked if I could wear skirts and open toe heels like the woman in our office. He made it clear that wouldn’t be tolerated because he “didn’t want to see that.”

I’m not in your industry but I briefly flirted with the idea. I’ve had a lot of my drawings, for better and worse lol, be used by others for tattoos. When I was considering it I was primarily doing apprentice work as a piercer, which in South Florida was (is still maybe) pretty common to do both.

I’ve never done a piercing on someone that I haven’t done on myself. Had a friend come in for an eyebrow and insisted I do it. They bled a lot, more than usual but otherwise everything was ok, the pierce was fine, they loved it. That was it for me. I couldn’t settle myself with screwing something like that up

So I would appreciate knowing you take your role seriously. Maybe try to reframe the stress you feel into the honor you have to be trusted to do what you do. Unsure if you did any of your leg work but if so, as a fan of pure black I’d trust you

This game has been the most fun I’ve had in a long time. I genuinely enjoy gaming but this game is bringing me back to a feeling I didn’t even know I have missed.

On top of that it’s absolutely gorgeous and my “low” FPS is still ~220. Usually well in the 300s with everything maxed. (Ryzen 7800x3D, 32GB RAM, 9070XT, on CachyOS)

Played the demo and immediately knew I was buying the full game

Apparently being barefoot is a real threat to y’all.

I already wear minimal sole shoes unless I’m on my bike or working with heavy tools/equipment.

I’m almost always barefoot at and around my home, even in freezing temperatures for brief periods. The last time my family went to hanging rock mountain it was a cool day so about a third of the way up I said fuck it and spent the rest of the day barefoot. It was awesome I loved standing directly on the mountain top without my shoes on.

I watch my step in unfamiliar places. I’m not saying I never step on sharp objects but after over a decade in South Florida with sand spurs a daily experience of my childhood life, I’ve gotten pretty good at feeling my step before I make it.

I’m not saying it’s for everyone or without risk of injury. I’m not saying there aren’t time for shoes. But some of y’all are acting like going outside and feeling the earth under your feet is going to sentence you to death. Like, good thing Prometheus invented Nikes before he wasted time on fire

She did an interview on Soft White Underbelly. I’m pretty sure she never went to the island, she supposedly didn’t even entirely realize how many other victims there were.

That said I still picked up her vote from the interview. Not justifying it, but it felt to me like her anger at the situation was among the greatest motivations

I hadn’t heard of this person so I asked my 15 year old son if he knew about him or if his friends were in his orbit.

“He’s a loser. No.”

I appreciate you for giving me this intense moment of connection with my boy

We are of similar eras. I just missed the days of building phreak boxes and it was always a bit of wonder to me.

While it’s harder these days for a litany of reasons I think it’s still in our collective interest to be bearers of stories, old and new, to the neophytes of the current generation.

I guess what I’m saying is, I am in your camp but to my kid’s generation we are still warlocks
