Recently, the resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline, the George Floyd riots, and Minneapolis pushing ICE out are magnificent examples of people coming together.

This isn’t uniquely American. But Americans can create community

It’s going to take a culture shift. People on the ground don’t feel like they can trust each other. Until we have a sense that our neighbors won’t let us go hungry, a general strike can’t be sustained.

We get there with mutual aid, building relationships with our neighbors, and time. General strike 2028
