No way, she was playing to win. They were hoping some republicans on the fringe would switch if she buddied up with some of the decent republicans that Trump hated, the problem was too many people were fucked so badly by the current system they just wanted to burn everything down with the hope that whatever replaced it would be better.

We all see how that went. They were hoodwinked by the same grifter and they all fell for it again.

Listen guy, maybe you haven’t noticed, but we have some serious fuckery we are trying to deal with here. While I agree that metric is a more logical system. We’re trying to get a grip while everything around us is crumbling. Switching to metric is in like volume 17 of our todo list right now, sandwiched between end daylight savings time and making the my pillow guy eat a sock.

Yeah, I agree, and it’s a bummer that the fandom for that game keeps people from experiencing it. It really is a great adventure to discover for yourself

The  FCC met with  AT&T in November 1967 in order to choose the number.

In 1968, the number was agreed upon. AT&T chose the number 911, which was simple, easy to remember, dialed quickly (999, with the phones in place at the time, would take longer).

Because of the middle 1, which indicated a special number (see also  411 and 611), 911 worked well with the phone systems at the time. At the time, this announcement only affected the telephone companies; independent phone companies were not included in the emergency telephone plan. Alabama Telephone Company decided to implement it ahead of AT&T, choosing Haleyville, Alabama as the location.
